June Meditation evening

Meditation, the Brain and the Inner Body

We hope you can make it to next Friday night's programme with Mark Navin, leading chiropractor and exponent of mind body healing.

It promises to be a night of inner healing and increased awareness. An occasion to reinforce a practice of meditation and an opportunity to discover inner peace.

Mark will introduce the effects of meditation on the brain and how that flows onto our physiology.

How higher brain centres help to inhibit and control our more primitive limbic/emotive systems. How that being out of balance whether it be through our nerve system, our body chemistry, with stagnant energy, repetitive thoughts, too much yang or not enough yin, all leave us feeling less capable.

Program:

  • CHANT a good warm up exercise to get the evening started

  • SILENT MEDITATION creating a softer and more open energy, allows for healing to happen

  • INNER BODY MEDITATION this is about connecting with the life force energy that is in operation within us whether we are aware of it or not. This meditation is about becoming aware of it and becoming aware of the sensations within our bodies. It is about dropping the labels associated with pain and recognising symptoms as simply 'sensations'.
